MIP currently offers space for up to 500 vehicles in our parking lots. All lots are clearly signed regarding permits and rates to ensure clarity for all tenants and visitors.

 
 

Getting to MIP

TORONTO, OAKVILLE, AND BURLINGTON Take Highway 403 to Highway 8 West Main St. Exit. At the traffic lights at the top of the ramp turn right. Proceed on Main St. West and then turn right onto Longwood Road South.

ST. CATHARINES AND THE NIAGARA PENINSULA Follow the Queen Elizabeth Way Eastbound over the Burlington Skyway Bridge. Take Highway 403 West towards Hamilton, and exit as described above in the directions coming from Toronto.

KITCHENER-WATERLOO Take Highway 401East to Highway 6 South to Highway 403 West, and exit at Highway 8 Main Street Exit as described in the directions coming from Toronto. Or take Highway 8 to the Town of Dundas; proceed along King Street straight through the town – this will become Highway 12 (Cootes Drive). Turn left onto Main Street, continue 1.5 kilometers and turn right onto Longwood Road South.

BRANTFORD AND LONDON From Brantford, take Highway 403 East to the Aberdeen Street exit, and turn left onto Longwood Road South.

MCMASTER UNIVERSITY'S MAIN CAMPUS If you are parked near the Sterling Street entrance, take Sterling Street to the first all-way stop at Dalewood. Turn right onto Dalewood then left at the lights onto Main Street West. Turn right at Longwood Street South. If you are parked on the West Campus, exit Cootes Drive to Main Street West, turn left at the lights and travel 1.5 kilometers along Main until Longwood Road. Turn right onto Longwood Road South.

Parking

For Visitors

Visitor parking payment is required from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday. All guests visiting tenants at The Atrium, 175 Longwood Rd. S., Hamilton, are directed to the visitor parking areas Lot 1 or Lot 5, which are located adjacent to the building.

As of October 1, 2021, visitor rates have been increased to $1.50 per hour with a daily maximum of $8.50 in Lots 1 and 5. Currently we offer exact change, Mastercard, or Visa as payment options at our outdoor meters.

For other buildings on campus, we offer parking meters; located south of the CANMET MATERIALS building on Frid St., in the Visitors’ lot at the MARC building (north of the main entrance doors), Lot 4 at the MARC building (west of the west side entrance doors) and Lot 6 in front of the BEAM building.

For Tenants and Employees

Tenants and employees may make use of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. If you are a new tenant or employee, you can request a parking permit by clicking the Sign up for parking link below.

As of October 1, 2021, the rates for tenant lots are $65 per calendar month plus HST ($73.45). When you sign up for parking on or after the 16th of a calendar month, the rate is $32.50 plus HST ($36.70).

Parking rates are not pro-rated. Please Note: Mastercard or Visa are the payment options.

McMaster University Reciprocal

McMaster Innovation Park has a reciprocal agreement with McMaster University to share the parking expenses for their combined patrons. To initiate reciprocal parking, please contact McMaster University - Parking and Security Office via email, parking@mcmaster.ca The Account History Summary must be brought to the MIP Admin Office, 175 Longwood Rd. S., suite 101A, to receive your parking pass for MIP.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Parking hang tag must be clearly displayed from the rear-view mirror of your vehicle at all times and is only valid for the year and lot indicated on the hang tag. New hang tags are issued every year. You may receive a parking ticket from the City of Hamilton otherwise.

Parking hang tags are not transferrable, they are issued to the account holder and not the vehicle. The account holder can register multiple vehicles.

All parking hang tags are the responsibility of the permit holder. There is a $25.00+HST replacement fee for any lost or stolen passes.

To cancel your parking, the hang tag must be returned to the MIP Admin Office, suite 101A. Parking fees will be charged until the pass is returned.
