Zach Douglas

Mr. Douglas is the President of McMaster Innovation Park, an entity affiliated with McMaster University, which has a mandate to re-develop a 37-acre brownfield industrial site and transform it into an internationally recognized world class research and development park.
Prior to 2006, Mr. Douglas was Senior Vice-President of Investments for Crown Investment Corporation of Saskatchewan. He was in charge of a portfolio of large industrial investments, smaller venture capital investments and several investments in funds having a value of more than $600.0 M.
Mr. Douglas has been involved in economic development and business financing for more than 25 years. From 1994 to 2000, he was President & CEO, Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation a provincial Crown Corporation providing strategic financing to small and medium size businesses, as well as operating research and development parks.
Over the past 25 years, he has established relationships with the business, financial and economic development communities across Canada, and has worked closely with stakeholder groups to encourage collaborative approaches to economic development financing.
Mr. Douglas has served on the Board of Directors of a number of major Saskatchewan and Canadian companies and non-profit organizations including most recently serving on the National Board of the Arthritis Society.
Mr. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
